The GTI has recently undergone new and exciting changes and therefore we deserves a new modern website.
This website which was started in July 2009 will no longer be maintained but is live for historical purposes only. The biggest difference between this old and new site, is the new website is a lot more friendly when viewed on mobile phones. Also better instructor features when logged in.
The new GTI website is at the same website address http://www.gti-taekwondo.com and most of the information from here will be migrated over to this new site. See you on the new site
I have pleasure in inviting you and your students to our second tournament of 2014, the GTI National Open on Sunday 6th July at Cheltenham Leisure Centre, Tommy Taylor’s Lane, Cheltenham GL50 4RN. As always we rely on your support and the support of your students who are officials to ensure the day runs to schedule so please encourage them to attend.
Patterns, Point-Stop and Continuous* sparring categories, including the 40 years and over veteran’s divisions available. (*NB. Yellow & Green – Point-Stop, Blue & Red - Continuous sparring, Black – Both Point-Stop and Continuous sparring available).
3rd Place Awards
There will be two third place awards in all colour belt sparring divisions. In the black belt divisions there will be only one third place decided by a fight-off between the losers of the semi-finals.
Please register both trainee and qualified officials on the block entry form. If officiating for the day, trainee umpires who also compete get a discount entry fee of £10 and it is free to compete for those who are qualified. Officials should sign in by 9.30am and be present for a quick pre-comp meeting at 9.45am.
The entry forms have been amended to try to reduce the amount of errors that occur with entrants being placed in incorrect weight divisions, as well as showing that point-stop is no longer an option for the blue & red divisions.

The Cornwall College campus at Tolcarne Beach in Newquay was the venue for the training of Cornwall's newest Tae Kwon Do instructors. The experts in the Korean martial art and Olympic sport, famed for its fast, high kicks were taught the various aspects of teaching Tae Kwon Do by national coach Paresh Bhadeshia and will shortly be teaching classes locally and perhaps even opening their own Tae Kwon Do schools across Cornwall.
Local co- ordinator Liam Broderick wishes them all the best of luck in their new vocation and would like to sincerely thank Mr Bhadeshia and Cornwall College for the use of their facilities and continued support. Please contact Liam on 07855 734984 for further information or visit www.cornwall-taekwondo.com or Cornwall Taekwondo on Facebook.
