 Cornish Taekwondo Championships 2012
With over £500 already raised for Sport Relief 2012 and much more sponsorship pledged, this year's GTI Cornish Tae Kwon-Do Championships has been a resounding success.

Martial artists from GTI Camborne, Newquay and Truro competed in this friendly competition to raise funds for Sport Relief 2012. The competition included a number of different aspects of Tae Kwon-Do training, traditional patterns, where students performed the set forms of Tae Kwon-Do, team patterns, with students performing patterns in teams of three, free sparring, which is controlled Tae Kwon-Do fighting, highest jumping kick and destruction, with adults breaking boards with various hand strikes and kicking techniques. Exactly one hundred medals were awarded on the day, with Truro Tae Kwon-Do Academy winning the Cornish Schools Shield for the third year in a row.

 Road Trip to Scotland
On Saturday 24 March, GTI Team Coach, Jasper Chow, took a few GTI members to compete in a Scotland Tournament in Glasgow. Some members drove 800+ miles over the weekend. New GTI squad jackets produced for the members, who have been attending squad training were available to show off on the day. All members met up the evening before for dinner and epic jokes (imagine Stuart King and groin guard) Lots of fun and bonding was had by all during this truly epic adventure.

To be a member of the GTI squad or to join them or their adventure, please contact your instructor or Team Coach, Mr. Jasper Chow, jasper©gti-taekwondo.com
